James Li is a PPE student and the Chair of the LSESU Democracy Committee, elected in March 2025. In this role, he works with the Executive Committee to uphold democratic processes, accountability, policy development, Student Voice, and SU elections.

He is also the Founder and President of the World Student Alliance (est. November 2020), where he has led major international initiatives, including the Holborn Leadership Conference on 29 October, featuring the student government presidents of KCL, Harvard, and Richmond, as well as speakers President Larry Kramer and Professor Connson Locke.
